He wanted to hold the turtle
Just look at that face!!!!
We rode the little train they have at the zoo. This was the absolute highlight of Morgan's day and we have so many pictures of him on the train just being cute!
My boys
After the zoo we headed home, Morgan grabbed a quick nap, and then we went to Cabelas. I think I've mentioned this in a previous post, but Morgan is obsessed with Cabelas. Like, really obsessed. So we spent a couple of hours there and then met up with some friends at our favorite burger place here in town. Morgan chowed down on chicken strips and french fries, and had some birthday custard for dessert.
"Driving" the tractor outside Cabelas
Yum!
On Morgan's actual birthday, he woke up to this...
He was so excited! It was fun to see him open up all of his presents. He is finally at an age where he understands what a present is and loves to rip off the wrapping paper. We had birthday pancakes for breakfast, went to church, and then spent the rest of the day playing outside with his new toys and enjoying the beautiful weather. Morgan is our little outdoorsy boy!
That evening his Grandma Durfee and aunt Rosamund arrived (they were coming to watch him during that upcoming week while I was at my internship) and we had cake, watched home movies of the day he was born, and then put our happy but very sleepy two-year-old to bed.
Homemade...I tried....
Happy Birthday to our sweet Morgan! We love you a whole lot!
