Family Visits

We have been so lucky to have a lot of our family members come visit us recently. Both of our families have been so helpful with Morgan ever since our babysitter quit. Since Morgan had such a hard time going to the babysitter's, and I was so close to being done with my internship when she quit, our families have gone out of their way to come visit and help watch Morgan while I finished up my hours. How lucky are we?!

We also had lots of fun with our guests while they were here! My sister Madeline came in March and we did a couple of fun things while she was here. One thing we did was go to the Jelly Belly Factory. Now let me explain....they advertise it as a "factory", but we found out (sadly) that it is just a warehouse where they store their product. It was so anti-climactic because as we were driving towards the address of the warehouse, there was this huge factory in the distance. We kept getting closer and closer to it and it really seemed like THAT was the factory our GPS was taking us to. So you can imagine our disappointment when we pulled up to this.....

Oh and the big factory was literally right next door. LAME!!!

I asked one of the workers inside about the big factory and he said, "oh no it's not ours, I think they make plastic there or something". What the heck?! Oh well. All of that being said...it was really cute inside.

They had this little train that took us on a tour of the warehouse.

Morgan was so excited about the "choo choo"

We ended up having fun despite our disappointment about it not being a real factory. The tour took us around to different TV monitors that showed us the process of how they make their candy. We also got fudge to take home so that made everything all better.

Patiently waiting for our fudge

We also went to the zoo! It was a beautifully warm day and most of the animals were out and moving around so it was perfect.

Something grossed me out?

Some of the other things we did were go to the new Walmart that just opened up by our house, take a few walks, and just spend some fun time together.

The Walmart was so new and amazing--the shelves were fully stocked! A rarity for Walmart.

Diache got tired on our walk and insisted on riding in the stroller. Morgan didn't mind.

Cuties!

My mom and sisters, Abby and Ella, also came to visit. We got to do a few fun things while they were here, too! First, we went to the Milwaukee Public Library.

Morgan loved all of the animals! (What else is new? This boy REALLY loves animals!)

We saw a planetarium show at the museum which was fun. Minus me having to keep my eyes closed the whole time because it made me so motion sick. I have such a weak stomach.

We also took a trip to Cabelas because Morgan literally could not stop talking about that place the whole week they were here. Multiple times he would bring up Cabelas and then break down in tears when we would tell him we couldn't go there that day. He was a happy boy when we surprised him one morning by telling him we were going to Cabelas. Take a look...

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rosamund, also came up for a couple of days. We got to have a bonfire on the first night of decent weather we've had this season! It was great. Oh, and Morgan locked himself in Nama's van....ha. It actually wasn't too traumatizing. We did everything we could to get him out, eventually called a locksmith, and right before the locksmith arrived Morgan unlocked the door :-) Thankfully it wasn't hot out when it happened and Morgan found a pack of gum in the car while we were trying to get him out so he was both comfortable and entertained.

Intermittently throughout this time my sister-in-law, Alex, come up to watch Morgan here and there. She has been so wonderful with being flexible and always willing to come whenever we needed her to. She helped us in the beginning of my internship and helped us again at the end. Thank-you, Alex! We really couldn't have done this without you!

It is thanks to Alex and all of our family members that I have officially finished my internship and passed my licensing exam! Woohooo!! More on that to come :-)
