Popcorn and Rocks

These are Morgan's two favorite things right now. He goes crazy for popcorn, and he always has one or two rocks that he is toting around.

He would eat popcorn all day if it let him. Whenever he sees me pull out the big red bowl he gets sooo excited. He also loves to listen to the kernels pop in the microwave. One of his favorite things to do with the popcorn is force feed it to me and the dogs :-) The dogs love it...me, not so much. He is sure cute though!

His obsession with rocks seems to be growing bigger by the day. Anytime we go outside, whether it's to get in the car or take out the trash or let the dogs go potty, he has to stop and grab a few rocks. Our driveway is full of rocks so it is always easy for him to find a few to add to his collection!

I found a couple little buckets at Walmart the other day. He loves to use them to collect all of the rocks he finds.

Since he is always finding rocks whenever we step outdoors, we have accumulated quite a collection inside our house. I find them all over...

There have also been multiple times where I have sat down on the couch or lain down in bed and felt a sharp rock underneath me! I have to be really careful and look over our rugs well before I vacuum to make sure I don't suck up a rock and kill my vacuum :-) 

Rock collecting is fun, but yesterday we had a rock collecting catastrophe. Morgan saw a bumble bee on the ground (I think it was dying or something because it was just standing on the ground) and he thought it was a rock! He tried to pick it up and got stung on his finger tip. He was pretty tough, though! I was impressed. He cried for a little bit and then cried again when we tried (unsuccessfully) to get the stinger out and that was pretty much it. I kept saying that I wouldn't have wanted to get stung by that big old bee and probably would have cried more than he did! I was a little worried he would be scared to continue his rock collecting, but he was out there today collecting to his heart's content :-) Nothing can keep him from his rocks!
