Settling Into Our New Home

We have lived here in Milwaukee for about 2 months now (including our time out of town) and I think we are finally starting to feel at home. Jeff is loving his new job and I am loving my time at home with Morgan. It is amazing what a difference being on a consistent schedule makes for his behavior! He is happy to be settled as well.

Before I get into what we have been up to lately, I have to share something that I forgot to put in my last post. When we were traveling home from California, I had a very exciting thing happen. Drumroll please.................I saw Keegan Allen from Pretty Little Liars at the airport!!! Ok so that was probably pretty anti-climactic for most of you but I was very excited about this. I am an avid PLL fan and so it was way fun for me to see him. For those of you who know the show but don't know who Keegan is, he plays Toby. Anyways, here are some creeper pictures I took because of course I was way too much of a chicken to go up and talk to him.

Here he is at the gate desk. It is a little blurry but you can kind of see him.

He was sitting right by us! I forced Jeff to take this picture (he doesn't share my love for PLL)...and forced Morgan to be in it with me :-) You can see how thrilled he was about it.

As a side note, why do celebrities always wear sunglasses inside? I know they are trying to be discreet but it is so obvious when someone is famous because they are walking around indoors wearing huge sunglasses! I have seen a few different celebrities with all of my traveling in and out of LAX, and I really think they would blend in a lot more if they just acted like a normal person. Anyways, enough of that little rant.

So as I was saying, we are finally settled into our new home. We haven't really had anything too exciting happen since we got back from all of our travels. The biggest event we have had so far was the 4th of July. I have to say we were kind of duds this year and didn't really do anything. Jeff had thrown his back out a couple days before so he was pretty much immobile most of the day.

Morgan also had an ear infection he had been battling for a few days. On the 4th of July he was still not feeling or acting completely like himself. Poor little guy :-(

(The night before the 4th)

We did manage to have a festive breakfast, though.

I made the pancakes so naturally they were gross. Jeff is our resident breakfast extraordinaire.

We had plans to go watch some fireworks in the evening with friends but since Jeff and Morgan weren't feeling 100%, we decided it would be best to just stay home and do our own little show. It wasn't nearly as fun as going to see the fireworks would have been, but I guess that is what happens when you have a grumpy baby and an out-of-comission dad :-(

Cute boy still smiles even when he is sick :-)

4th of July puppy!

And another one!

The smoke bombs were our favorite part!

We are grateful to live in this country and for all of the liberties we enjoy! It is impossible to pass by this time of year and not be thankful for all of the men and women who have given their lives to the service and protection of our country. Thank-you for keeping us safe! And thank-you for making it possible for us to live this life of freedom! We are so very blessed and grateful for all that you do.

Here are a couple of other pictures from the last few weeks.

Morgan helping Dad unpack and set up his new BBQ grill.

He also likes to help Dad mow the lawn!

We are happy to be feeling settled in our new home. We are loving meeting new friends and getting to know this fun city!
