The morning we left for Orlando was the morning the polar vortex hit the midwest. It was snowing pretty hard on the way to the airport, but we saw just the tip of the iceberg as far as snow goes. Total, St. Louis got 14 inches of snow! We were so glad we missed the whole thing!
You can't really tell but it is snowing like crazy in this picture!
Morgs all bundled up
Ours was the last flight to make it out of St. Louis before they closed the airport. We were so thankful that we got out just in the nick of time.
Our view out of the plane window
The plane ride was such a breeze! It is amazing how much easier it is to travel with Morgan when Jeff is there. Our flight wasn't full, either, so we had nobody sitting next to us. We were able to stretch out and enjoy the ride!
Our view once we landed--paradise!
Once we arrived in Orlando, my dad picked us up from the airport and took us to our hotel. We stayed in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. This hotel is seriously so cool! It has a savannah in the middle so you can go out on your hotel room balcony and watch all kinds of african safari animals. It was really fun!
After getting checked into our hotel, my dad took us to my parent's new house. My parents are moving to Orlando in June because my dad got a new job within Disney. Their new house is beautiful and I am so excited for them and this new adventure they are about to embark on!
After taking a look around the new house, we ate lunch and waited for my mom and sisters' flight to land (my dad was already in Orlando working, which was why he was able to pick us up from the airport). Once everyone arrived, we headed back to the hotel, ate dinner, and went to bed. We were all so tired from our travels and couldn't wait to hit Disney World the next day!
Here are a couple cute pictures of Morgan, captured by his Aunt Maddie during dinner:
To be continued!! :-)
