We made it to California! It was quite the trip. It took us about 27 hours and we split it up between two days. We didn't hit any bad weather, which we are very thankful for, but all-in-all the drive was pretty horrible. Let me just say, taking a long road trip while pregnant is noooot a smart thing to do. After the first day I told Jeff that the next time I think it will be okay to take a long trip when I am pregnant, he has to stop me. The biggest issue I ran into was that I got really dehydrated on the first day. This made the second day a nightmare! I learned my lesson and drank about 3 of these on the second day:

We also had me sitting in the back for the drive. I still laugh thinking about it. How funny it must have looked to the cars we passed to see Jeff driving and then me just sitting in the backseat. The back was best for me because it allowed me to have room to stretch out. I had lots of blankets and pillows in attempts to remain as comfortable as possible. I had my moments of feeling really uncomfortable, but for the most part our setup was bearable. I also got some cute pictures of the dogs from the back :-)

Although the drive was rough, we survived and are so happy to be here in California! We had a wonderful Christmas full of laughs, good food, and family. I was also able to get a little belly bump picture in front of one of our Christmas trees in my pjs. It was taken from my phone so the quality of the picture is not great, but here it is!

On the pregnancy front, things are going great! Last week while we were moving I was really suffering from sciatica. The pain was overwhelming because it was almost impossible for me to walk at times. I also had a hard time dealing with it knowing that it could last for the rest of my pregnancy. Thankfully, though, the pain has greatly subsided since then. Apparently that means that the baby has moved off of my sciatic nerve and relieved the pressure. I am so glad! Other than that little bout with sciatica, things are really going great. I feel him move all the time, and his kicks have gotten big enough that others can put their hands on my stomach and feel him move too. Lots of fun!
My mom got me a bunch of maternity clothes for Christmas which I have been LOVING!! I am to the point now where I can no longer make my pre-pregnancy jeans work. They are just too tight! I am maternity all the way now.
I don't really have any other news. I thought I would finish this post by uploading a few pictures from our Christmas festivities! Just for fun!

| Candy Cane Lane. This is a street here in Valencia that goes all out on their Christmas lights every year. |

| This is just a funny picture I took of Diache outside the doggie door. Knox was blocking the door so he sat outside and pouted like this until I intervened. So sad but so cute. |
Hope everyone is having a great holiday season and that you all have a safe and happy New Years! Jeff will be on a plane to Hong Kong on New Years Eve. Crazy, crazy!
