More California Fun

     Well we are officially home from California, and I decided that it was probably high time I caught the blog up on the rest of our activities in the good ole' CA! Jeff had a wonderful time in Hong Kong, and I got to spend a lot of fun time with my family while he was gone.

     We went to Disneyland! We decided it would be best if we rented a wheelchair for me....haha. My sciatica was really bad at the time, which made walking very painful. Plus, I walk sooo slow, so I would have just held everyone back. It was kind of embarassing because I felt like everyone was looking at me and wondering why I needed a wheelchair but I am SO glad that we had it. It made the day very fun and enjoyable for all of us.

     Some sweet family friends, Kelly and Betty, threw me a baby shower! It was fun to get to see everyone and spend time celebrating baby Morgan! We got some really cute outfits and other fun things for him. It was such a cute shower!

     We also got to go visit my dad at work on the Disney Lot. I always love going there and it was a fun time! This is the only picture I got while we were there, but this is the famous dwarf building. Love it!

     The drive home was, surprisingly, a lot less painful than the drive out there. I tried to be a lot better about staying hydrated and we stopped A LOT. It ended up taking us forever to get home...like 30+ hours...because we hit bad weather along the way, but all-in-all it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We bought this handy roof bag for our car to help with fitting everything we accumulated while in California. It looked funny and made our gas mileage terrible but it was SO nice to have. We're thinking its something we will probably just have to get used to taking on road trips with all of the stuff we will need for the baby once he is born. 

We also came across a Maverik on our way home. We LOVE this gas station chain and haven't seen one since we moved out East. We took a long pit stop here and loved every minute of it! 

     As far as baby news goes, I went to the doctor last Thursday. Everything looks great and my doctor was happy that I am home to stay until the baby is born. She was a little nervous about me being so far away for such a long time, but there were no issues so everything worked out great. I am now to the point where I go in for an appointment every two weeks. This will continue until the last month, where I will go in once a week. Can't believe that I am already 29 weeks! He is going to be here before we know it.

     I also got us all scheduled to take our maternity pictures next Saturday. I am SO excited! I have had fun planning out what we are going to wear and picking the locations where we are going to take the pictures. I hope they turn out great!

     I am planning on getting another chalkboard picture done this week. It has been a while since I have done one and I think it is time to get going with it. I am so much bigger than I was in my last picture, so that change will be fun to see.
