It's been a while since I've had a chance to post a baby update. First things first, a few weeks ago we found out that baby Durfee #2 is a GIRL!! We are SO excited!
This will be the first granddaughter on both sides of our family, so everyone is looking forward to having a cute little girl around. Ever since finding out, I have had a really hard time restraining myself from buying every little girl outfit I see. Girls are just a lot more fun to shop for than boys. It is great! Here are some more pictures from our 20 week scan.
On the left side is her belly and the right side you can see her nose and lips. They look so much like Morgan's nose and lips to me!
I've kept up with taking belly pictures a little better than I've kept up with updating this blog. Here are the pictures from weeks 19 and 24.
19 weeks--size of a mango
24 weeks--size of an ear of corn
Here is my updated questionnaire!
How far along: 25 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain: 12lbs
Maternity clothes: Yep!
Stretch marks: Nothing substantial, just the marks from last time around becoming more visible
Sleep: Starting to feel uncomfortable at night which has led to a lot of tossing and turning.
Best moment this week: Morgan feeling the baby move
Movement: Lots!
Cravings: Juice of any kind and FRUIT
Anything making you sick: Not so much anymore. As long as I am careful to never eat too fast or too much :-)
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty happy
Labor signs: Nope!
Big brother to be: Morgan is coming around to the idea of having a little sister. He seems excited and talks about her a lot. It is pretty cute!
Looking forward to: Getting my glucose test over with!
I am feeling a lot more uncomfortable at this point in my pregnancy than I was at the same point with Morgan. It is kind of overwhelming to think that I still have 15 weeks! Especially since I know it is only going to get worse as far as the level of discomfort I feel. That being said, I haven't had any sciatica pain so far (knock on wood) which is such a relief. That was a real pain in the butt (haha...) last time around.
I also passed a kidney stone last weekend...so that was fun! I am just thankful that it was a kidney stone and not me going into labor because I was having what felt like contractions for most of the time. It was scary and I'm glad it's over with.
In other news, we are moving in a few weeks! We needed to get into a bigger place as we are in a tiny 2 bedroom right now and feel like we are living on top of each other. I am excited about the new place because baby girl will have her own room that I can get all decorated before she comes. I am also excited that we are moving now so that we have a few months to get settled in before she arrives. This is definitely a time of change and excitement for our family!
