Camping, Halloween, and Other News

Back in October we took an overnight camping trip with some friends.  We went to Door County, which is a couple of hours north of us in Wisconsin.  It was a lot of fun despite the fact that it was really cold! Luckily, Jeff had bought us a bunch of new camping gear before we went, the most important being the 0-degree family sleeping bag. That thing kept us toasty warm all night and was quite cozy! We didn't take any pictures the night we got there because it was dark and we were mostly busy setting up camp and getting dinner going. We got a lot the next morning, though!

Don't worry--the dogs came, anddd slept in our sleeping bag with us.

We climbed to the top of a tower near our campsite to enjoy the amazing views of Lake Michigan.

We also had a great Halloween this year. In fact, Morgan got so obsessed with the idea of Halloween and trick-or-treating that he still makes references to it on a daily basis! It is not abnormal for him to describe something as "spooky", sing a Halloween song, or carry around his jack-o-lantern bucket. He is a funny little guy!

At our church's Halloween party. What can I say....our costumes depict our lives with this 2-year-old!

On Halloween we went and saw Hotel Transylvania 2. It was such a cute and festive movie!

Right before we went out trick-or-treating. He was a serious police officer who blew his whistle often throughout the night!

In other news, I got a job!! It was quite a struggle for me to decide if I was going to work after I finished my internship because Morgan had such a hard time with me being gone 2 days a week. Thankfully, I was able to schedule my hours so that I am only working when Jeff is home with Morgan. I am working for LDS Family Services as a clinical counselor.  I help couples, families, and individuals. It is only part time, so it has been manageable to work as well as be a stay-at-home mom. I am loving all that I am learning and the people I am able to serve!

This was right after I passed my licensing exam. I needed to pass before I could start this new job. I was excited--both that I passed and that the test was over! I am now a LAPSW. Sounds a lot more cool than it actually is.
