Goodbye Summer!

Since October is almost over, I figured it was high time for me to write one more post about our summer. After we got home from Colorado, we had a few more weeks of nice weather. We tried to really take advantage of them since winter is seriously knocking at our door.

We took our 2nd annual trip to the Wisconsin State Fair. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures because Morgan was a major grump the whole time we were there. He just couldn't understand why he wasn't able to ride all of the animals we saw! Also, it was really hot. The shady pony ride saved the day.

We made a lot of visits to the park this summer as well. There is a park we discovered that is right up the road from our house and it is perfect! It has some nice play equipment and a pond that always has ducks and geese on it. One day Morgan and I even saw a family of geese with two little babies!

Our local library had a fun "Zoozort" day back in August. Zoozort is a company ran by a woman who rescues and rehabilitates animals. She does presentations for kids all over Milwaukee. She brings lots of cool animals for the kids to see and touch. It was a big hit!

At certain times during the show she would ask the kids to raise their hand if they wanted to pet the animal she was holding and she would bring it around to those who wanted to. Watching Morgan wait so patiently with his hand up was enough to make my heart burst!

We had a very fun and eventful summer! I will keep it fondly in mind as we suffer through the winter months. Yay!
