Summer Shenanigans

Even though we moved to Wisconsin last May, for some reason I feel like this is our first summer here. It has been nice to be settled and able to enjoy the mild weather that Wisconsin has to offer at this time of year. Here are some of the things we have gotten up to so far.

We have discovered a fun splash pad! We love to go there with some of our friends and splash around in the water that is shallow enough for Morgan to really enjoy. 

Morgan with the closest thing he gets to a real horse in Milwaukee--the horse statues outside of P.F. Changs. Anytime we go to the mall he has to visit the horses and get his picture taken.

There is some construction going on down the street from our house, and Morgan LOVES seeing the tractors every time we drive by. One day we even got to take a walk by the tractors...he was in heaven.

Pure joy!

A couple of weeks ago Morgan and I took a trip down to Florida to watch my sister Ella while my Mom was at our church's girl's camp. It was a fun (but quick) trip!

I even got to sneak away, leave Morgan with his Grandpa, and go see Julianne and Derek Hough's "Move On Live" tour show with my mom and Abby! It was so fun!

We had a nice 4th of July this year as well. We went to our friends' house and ate lots of good food, played lawn games, and then headed out to watch the fireworks. 

I was proud of my creation :-)

I also have to post these before and after pictures of Morgan's haircut a couple of weeks ago. He was not thrilled and the "after" picture is so hilarious to me. He got a homemade milkshake out of the deal, though, so he was happy when it was all said and done. 

HAHAHAHAHA

Last weekend we went as a family to see the new Minions movie. Morgan loved it! It is fun that he is old enough to actually sit through a movie and enjoy it. As long as we keep the popcorn coming he is good to go!
