The Christmas season is officially upon us! To recap a bit, we spent Thanksgiving at Jeff's parent's house in Kansas City. We had fun with family and this little turkey:
We have decided to stay home for Christmas this year so we can start our own family traditions. I have already started the preparations for our festivities and I am getting really excited! Christmas is so fun once you have kids. It reminds me of the excitement I used to feel about Christmas when I was little. Even though I know Morgan wont really "get" it this year, it will still be fun to see him enjoy his new toys.
Last weekend we got our Christmas tree. We went to a Christmas tree farm outside St. Louis called Pea Ridge. Although it was really crowded the day we went, we still had fun and got to experience cutting down our own tree. I love love LOVE the smell of a freshly cut pine tree! Here are some pictures of our experience.

Trying to find the perfect tree. Morgan had to give his opinion.
Cutting down our tree.
Mmm pine needles and dirt are yummy!
They had some awesome homemade root beer!
Morgan even got to meet Santa! The poor boy's pants were too small so it looked like he was expecting a flood and his socks had fallen off by this point...and Santa sure doesn't look like much of a jolly old elf....
It took us a couple of days but we finally got all of our decorations up!
Even Morgan has a tree in his room! I found it at the dollar store and couldn't help myself.
We are excited for Christmas and hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season!

A tree in his room!?! LOVE it!!!
