Snow Day

It seems that winter storm Virgil didn't get the memo that we were supposed to be having an early spring this year! We have been hit with a huge snow storm today that resulted in church being cancelled. Therefore, I have had lots of time to update the blog! The belly picture today is a bit unconventional...no chalkboard. I have already repainted the chalkboard in preparation for my sister-in-law to make it pretty once Morgan arrives. Since I am technically full term now, he could come any day! So I wanted to be ready just in case. This means that there is no more writing on it with the messy sidewalk chalk I have been using. I chose instead to just take the belly picture in the nursery near the window so you can see all of the snow outside!

I decided to wear sweats to depict what I wear pretty much every day now. I am just way too uncomfortable in anything else! I have become a big fan of all of Jeff's t-shirts and sweatshirts (since they fit so well) so I am usually wearing one of his shirts and then either sweat pants or yoga pants. Love it!

I also wanted to include Diache because Knox got to be in one of my past belly pictures, so I thought Diache should get a turn too :-)

Here are the questions!

How far along: 38 weeks 1 day

Total weight gain: 30 pounds

Maternity clothes: Like I said above, loving yoga pants and Jeff's t-shirts!

Stretch marks: I have developed a few more on the bottom half of my belly. Yikes!

Sleep: Can't seem to get enough

Best moment of this week: My doctors appointment

Miss anything: Sushi and skinny jeans

Movement: Lots!

Food cravings: Nothing in particular

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!

Have you started to show yet: Yes

Gender: Boy

Belly button in or out: Still BARELY in

Wedding rings on or off: Wedding band on, engagement ring off

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy for the most part...some anxiety about the whole idea of labor and delivery

Looking forward to: Morgan making his arrival

So like I said in the questions, I had a doctors appointment this week. It was pretty uneventful...basically nothing is happening. My cervix is soft but not dilated (which is the same that it was at my appointment the week before) and I haven't dropped yet. I think baby Morgan is just comfortable as can be in there and isn't planning on coming any time soon. Which is to be expected since this is my first pregnancy :-) My doctor said that she will induce me if I get to a week overdue...so we know he will for sure be here within the next 3 weeks. So crazy!

I don't really have any other baby news. I've been trying to rest as much as I can right now. I am a big fan of just being a beached whale on the couch :-) I have some anxiety about what is to come, but I try to fight that away as much as I can. It's scary having a baby! I know everything will be worth it in the end though, so I am holding on to that.

I also wanted to share some pictures of our snow day :-)

This accumulated in 2 hours

Jeff let the dogs run around outside in the snow! This is what resulted. They were only outside for like 15 minutes too. I think the snow stuck to them looks like cotton balls!

Its fun playing in the snow until you have to come inside...

Well I think that is all I have for today! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Morgan. I am so curious to see what he looks like! I wonder when he will be ready to come??? Hmmm....? :-)
