13 Weeks

     Well we finally got around to taking another belly picture! We are still trying to decide where we want the chalkboard to be in relation to me, higher or lower, so there will probably be more adjusting in future belly pictures. We're new at this!

     It was fun to do this picture because I am starting to actually look pregnant (rather than like I just ate a little too much...). The bump is small but it is definitely there! Even in the few days since we took this picture it looks like it has grown so much! The baby is officially making his or her debut :-)

     I have found a few questions that I think I will answer with each new installment of a belly picture. It will be interesting to see how my answers change along the way! Here we go.


How far along: 13 weeks and 4 days

Total weight gain: Nothing so far!

Maternity clothes: Not yet. Soon though! I have serious issues with my pants not buttoning anymore. The rubber band trick has become my favorite thing ever.

Stretch marks: Nothing yet!

Sleep: Already having trouble sleeping, partly because I have to pee 2-3 times a night and partly because I just can't seem to shut my brain off!

Best moment of this week: Telling everyone our good news!

Miss anything: Enjoying eating

Movement: Haven't felt anything yet...sooo anxious for when I do!

Food cravings: I wouldn't really say I have any cravings since food is still pretty gross to me (I thought that would go away once I reached the 2nd trimester! No luck). Some days different foods sound better than others though. Fruit always sounds good and so does peanut butter!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Random things will make me sick. Smells are still a big issue for me.

Have you started to show yet: A little bit! Yay!

Gender: Won't know until 20 weeks. Can't wait to find out! I really feel like it's a boy, but would be happy with either.

Belly button in or out: In

Wedding rings on or off: On...fitting more loose than before I was pregnant ironically

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! Although I can have my moody moments....poor Jeff :-)

Looking forward to: My doctor's appointment next week!


     I think this will be a fun way to document my pregnancy along the way :-) Hopefully I can be consistent on updating these questions so they really do document things as they change.

     Next week I have a doctors appointment. Hopefully I will be able to find out more about when exactly we will have the ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby! I am also anxious to hear the heartbeat and get the a-okay that everything is going well. It's hard not to be a worrier when you are pregnant!

     We also got our apartment all decorated for Halloween this week. I just love this time of year! Halloween is really my favorite holiday (Christmas a close contender) so I am really excited! I also just love the fall and have already gotten into all of the fun fall foods--pumpkin cookies, soups, candy corn, etc. Tonight for dinner we are having potato soup and homemade bread. YUM!!
