Starting Solids and Other Adventures

It is amazing the lengths I will go to avoid doing homework. I have a huge project due this Sunday, but I seem to be doing everything BUT work on it. Hence this blog post. I just HAD to post about Morgan starting solids and some other things we have been up to lately! Just absolutely had to ;-)

A couple weeks ago we started Morgan on solids! It was a very bitter-sweet experience for me. It was so fun to get to help Morgan take this big step in his development, but it was also so sad because my baby is growing up! Per our pediatrician's direction, we started with rice cereal. He has since tried avocados, bananas, and peas. It has all gone well so far! He is loving this new experience and is really good at eating.

Sitting in his high chair for the first time. He was so cute I couldn't stop taking pictures of him!

Success!!

We also recently took a family trip to a local park. We had fun enjoying the fall weather and taking in all of the beautiful views this park had to offer!

Morgan's first time in a swing! He couldn't decide if he liked it or not...

There were a lot of cool views of the Meramec River

Earlier this week we took a trip to Kansas City. Jeff had a fellowship interview at Children's Mercy Hospital so we went out and stayed with his family for a few days. We had lots of fun!

The dogs love going to visit their grandparents!

Grandpa also teaching Morgan how to play the piano ;-)

Jeff and I were super lucky and got to see Wicked while we were in Kansas City! Jeff's parents bought our tickets and we are so grateful to them for giving us the opportunity to see this amazing show!

Blurry and poor quality photo but here we are!

Such a good show!!

Our parking spot for the show was a wee bit tight. I had to post these pictures to show how squishy it was! The first picture is of the passenger side of our car, it was so close to the pole that I could only open the door enough for me to slip in and out. The driver's side was worse...Jeff couldn't even open his door! He had to crawl over to the passenger side to get out. It was pretty entertaining.

Well there you have it! I think I have put off homework long enough :-)
